Robins,
Above are Vickie Andrews (Tommy's wife), Denise Andrews(Mark's wife), Becky A. Hyder, Judy A. Starnes, and Susie A. Bell. Every fall we have had the opportunity to have a Sisters weekend hosted by Becky at Grandfather Mountain near Boone, NC. This time Becky cooked a fabulous Shrimp/Crab Gumbo for Friday evening which we ate over rice and the following day for lunch...Yum! The golf course was closed and the temperature was in the 60's so we had nice walks around the first 9 holes several times foregoing our usual trip to a hike along the Blue Ridge Parkway and into Blowing Rock for shopping and lunch. We loved looking out over the lake at the fabulous view of Grandfather Mtn. Most of the leaves are gone, but the later bronzes and browns still were lovely.
We talked nonstop, ate great food, sang from Rise Up Singing, watched a movie, shared book titles, discussed the book The Shack and generally caught up on our lives. It is so wonderful to have people that have known us all our lives or all our married lives and have shared the passages of our families. We are growing with 2 new babies expected in April. Judy's daughter, Karen, is having number 3 after the twins and Becky's son Bill and wife Courtney are having number 3 after 2 little girls.
